Located on a farm that has been in the same family since 1909, this sprawling property allows for 2 ½ mile rides by the creek that runs through the grounds and, for more advanced riders, on the hills that surround it. The scenic beauty and green pastures offer  guests a glimpse into a bygone era. In fact, Gold Rush Stables Pigeon Forge offers such a tranquil space, it's hard to believe that it's located right across from Dollywood Splash Country! Gold Rush Stables keeps 20 magnificent horses at the peak of the season, ranging from sprightly studs for the experienced rider to more easy-going horses for the little-ones (or for those of us who rode a horse once in summer camp).

After making your appointment and arriving at Gold Rush Stables Pigeon Forge, groups of no more than 10 mount their horses and start their adventure off by circling around the pen, so Jerry or the one of the guides can get a feel for your skill level to make sure they chose the right trail and horse for you. From there, beginners can take the leisurely trail down to the creek, taking in the wildlife (deers, wild turkeys, beavers, ducks, and, thankfully, no bears) and the serene peace of nature. More advanced riders can then progress to the hollow and hills nearby to explore the landscape further on horseback. Highly advanced riders are given more independence at Gold Rush Stables, since, as the owners understand, true equestrians don't want to simply plod along in a line.

Gold Rush Stables Pigeon Forge also offers weddings on its property. Officiated by Peggy herself, couples can stand under a decorated wood arch by the creek to say their vows. The basic package includes flowers for both the bride and groom and 50 pictures. More deluxe packages include champagne, cakes, carriages, additional photography, and other specialized touches. With larger groups, receptions are available. Additionally, Peggy is very flexible and willing tor create a customized packages to create that perfect "Cinderella" atmosphere for your special day.
