The house is perfectly located minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. The view is breathtaking! The house is in need of many minor repairs and cleaning. The pool wasn't cleaned and unfortunately didn'thave lights, no trashbag in the trashcan, dishes left in the dishwasher and the grill was damaged. There was also a lot of trash near the ac unit and pool area. The theatre room is actually just a tv room. Not much entertainment for kids, but definitely adults. The office handled my questions and concerns in a timely fashion and made sure I had everything I needed for a great stay. I would definitely book with this company again!

Castle in the Clouds is as truly as named. It is as wonderful as the pictures show. The rooms were spacious and beds were comfy, the bunk room was cute but small. The infinity pool/spa is amazing and was a great start and end to each day. However major safety issue are the hooks/post above the pool are dangerous as 3 people hit their heads in them getting out of pool. Half bath downstairs needs blinds on window or curtain. Have it 9/10 for location only because the road up to the rental is 1/2 mile up and very windy and narrow, definitely not winter friendly. Really scary for first few times. While waiting to check in, we were greeted by a momma and 3 cubs less than 50 feet away, so cool but yet crazy. Over the week had 6 different bears VERY close to the location, including one under main deck by central air and one on deck to rip off grill doors. So not for people not wanting the chance to see bears up close. The views are spectacular and worth the trip up. Had a mouse but company had person up next morning. Only minor complaints would be needing tv instruction/channel guide and need hooks in bathroom or bedrooms to hang towels and suits. Large Windows in front had leak after large storms, which were reported. Would definitely recommend this for family stay it really was an excellent choice.

I highly recommend a stay this location! Amazing views and close to everything! The whole experience for my 30th was breathtaking. Everything we needed was on hand. We didn't get to use the pool and the fire pit wouldn't stay lit, but overall great experience!

We were here to celebrate our mother's 87th birthday and we loved the castle. It exceeded our expectations. Everything was wonderful and what we were looking for.

The Stay Was Amazing & So Was The Cabin???? Even The Bears Welcomed Us????????

The Castle in the Clouds was an amazing experience. Very Roomy accommodations for families or a girls weekend. Nice decor and the pool is a plus. A lot of activities in the area like Anakeesta and Moonshine tours. For the cost or value of the property and being in a pandemic we were expecting some of the areas of the cabin to be cleaned better like the bathrooms, couches, banisters, cob webs etc. We also had to report the wear and tear on the fridge not getting cool and drawer handles being broken and some of the chairs weren't sturdy. The owners should replace the fridge and do some maintenance and deep cleaning on the furniture since renters are charged a cleaning fee. Also providing a few more trash bags and rolls of toilet paper should be essential for a cabin that sleeps 13. We didn't have enough and had to find a place in the village to shop for more essentials. Be aware that the bears do come to the cabin on the deck area. We had three bears visit while there and climb onto the cars. Lastly the mountains are very steep and narrow so take your time driving up to the cabin and try to do it during daylight. Overall a great time and would recommend to others.

Some of the bedrooms could use dressers. It would be nice to know what items were in the kitchen. There were bugs in the basement area and main floor. It looked like they tried to treat pool but there was green algae on steps and corners. We appreciated the dish washer tablets but it would have been nice to have a trail size dish detergent for kitchen. This house it really nice....looks like there needs to be better upkeep. Patches of paint scratched off and holes in the walls.

The Castle in the Clouds was incredible! We couldn't have asked for better accommodations in a more exquisite setting. It was just a shame that the renters before us caused such damage (shattered oven, broken door closures, iron, etc) BUT Stone and the other maintenance crew to the rescue! They were friendly and fast snd made sure our vacation wasn't badly impacted.

The Castle in the Clouds was an amazing place! It was clean, the beds was so comfortable. It was basically a home away from home. It has everything you need. The pool was warm and the view by the fire was awesome and so beautiful. My family and I will be making plans to stay again. Check in was so easy. Very satisfied.

The Castle is beautiful and sits high on the mountain for gorgeous views. We saw bears almost every day and stayed at the end of April. Although it looks like it, the pool is actually a hot tub without the bubbles. We stayed there to have a wedding and it was perfect but for a family trip it would have been nice to have a game room or movie room.

We booked this house because of the castle look to have our wedding at.
It was a small intimate wedding with just family and was absolutely perfect.
There was a couple hiccups prior to checking in but Cabins USA and one of the managers took care of everything and did their best to accommodate us.
The house was everything we hoped it would be with a beautiful view for all of our photos.

My family and I had a great time. The internet went, but help came quickly and resolved the issue that happen on Superbowl Sunday. He was very professional and courteous.

Great property with exceptional views.

The Castle is amazing with stunning views. The tri-level allowed enough room and separation for our family to spread out very comfortable. Everyone commented on getting the best nights sleep ever when traveling. The only negative was pots and pans. The 2 skillets were not nearly big enough to cook for a big family, and no bread pans.

This cabin was perfect it was so beautiful. The only thing I would change about this cabin is that the kitchen needs more pots and pans. This is a big cabin so you know a lot of people is going to be staying together so their needs to be more then one good size pot to cook in but other then that we loved it and we are definitely coming back to this same cabin. It was by far our best cabin yet or should I say castle because it's so beautiful

The Castle in the Clouds was amazing. View was breath taking. We had everything we need for 13 ladies get away. Jeff the maintenance man was very polite when he came out. He made sure everything was taken care of and shared a few interesting stories with us. My only suggesting is that trash should be pick up on a daily basis especially when you know you have a large party staying in your property, other than that EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC. Thanks

We "LOVED" our stay. The Castle was amazing and the pool and fire pit was a hit with the group. We regularly visit Gatlinburg every year but normally use another rental agency, who we swear by. But I must say Cabinsusa.com exceeded my expectations as well. Only one issue for the women of the group, the drive up and back was terrifying. The blind man curves and speeders makes it impossible to enjoy a drive back and forth. And why so few rail guards? Other than that this would be my best visit yet. Thanks for everything and the outstanding customer service throughout our stay.

The only issue we had was the mama bear and three cubs coming for a visit. They weren't aggressive but if you guys could install a gate on the front of the house leading to the deck for safety purposes. We had to flip over the outside table to block the entrance way to at least give us time to run in the house. The house/ location/ staff/ views were amazing but the access to the deck is troublesome i have two 7 year old twins that couldve been attacked.

Our trip and stay in the castle in the clouds was amazing. Reading the reviews we probably over prepared but the pool was turned on and heated when we arrived. Just minor things of the cleanliness of it but we took care of that. We were able to use the fire pit in both areas. I called the office to ask about trash and they were helpful. Our neighbors were super friendly as well. The whole process was seamless you can check in, in advance . The cabin was close to everything so we had a great time and will definitely book again . We did encounter bears twice but they were looking for food and eventually moved past us.

The Cabin overall was great! The pictures do the cabin no justice! Beautiful inside and out! The hill gets a little steep as you go up but it wasn't so bad. We did however have 4 unexpected guests to join us. A mother bear and 3 Cubs on the balcony!

Cabins USA made the process super easy and it was contactless. Express check in, through their app, allowed me to go straight to my cabin. Let me tell you, it exceeded my expectations! It was absolutely beautiful. The heated pool on the lower balcony was simply stunning. I can't wait to book again!

Beautiful place but for what I had to pay everything should of worked. Still frustrated I spent all that money and pool didn't work like I was told and the fireplace inside wouldn't start.

Beautiful cabin with spectacular views

I booked this place for a bachelorette party. The place was beautiful and the location was not too bad. However we didnt get the wifi password and they didnt leave a pamphlet or anything on how to work the tvs or the pool. I was really looking forward to the heated pool but it was too cold to sit in. Couldn't find any trash bags except the ones in the cans. Would stay again if they educated us on how to heat up the pool!

A Castle in the Clouds was a nice place however, I believe there should have been more information about where the property was actually located prior to booking. The roads were narrow and the street signs were hard to follow getting to the property. Having a larger SUV made it difficult to navigate up and down the mountain and caused us to cut our stay short because of the road conditions.

So I will say this is the first time I have ever left a review. I really didn't want to leave a review because I wanted this to be our best kept secret. This castle is amazing!!!! The view is breathtaking day and night. The castle is beautiful inside and out. The drive to the castle can be a little scary. We found it was easier to cut through downtown Gatlinburg instead of using the bypass. The driveway is much smaller than appeared in the picture. Some of the fixtures in the house are falling off and a couple of the showers had no where to put your soap and shampoo. The kitchen does lack the pots and pans to entertain more than a small family.
We were greeted daily by a mama bear and her 3 cubs. They were great entertainment and didn't cause us any trouble. Just lock your doors and watch your surrounding so you don't startle them.
The minor things I mentioned above are definitely nothing to worry about when it comes to the beauty and amenities of this castle. We will definitely be returning in the near future. It was by far one of our best trips and we come to the Smokies 4-5 times a year.

This was a beautiful location however, the amenities were not up to par for the 3k that we paid on this past holiday weekend.

First, the barbecue grill was disassembled. We called several times and they sent someone up to fix it.

Second, the pool was too cold. By the time someone came to adjust, it was time to check out.

Third, the fire pit and fireplace weren't turned on. They are only turned on on the winter months which should be disclosed when renting. The cabin is lovely and it accommodated our group of ten comfortably. We just wish we could have at least enjoyed the fire pit at night. The staff was very helpful.

Lastly, this is at the top of the hill and if you are afraid of heights, this cabin is not for you. Overall, we got some nice pictures and enjoyed ourselves.

The staff at CABINSUSA provided us world-class service throughout the entire process-from the first call to the time of check out. Every question and concern we had was addressed promptly, efficiently, professionally, and with a personal touch of class. The rental price is a fair market value for the quality of the cabin and the amenities at this tranquil, serene Castle in the Clouds. The name of the cabin is a summation of the indubious characteristics of this massive masterpiece. This is by far THE BEST cabin in The Great Smoky Mountains. The cabin has a very open, spacious floorpan with a warm and inviting ornate ambience. Attention to detail was exhibited in the artistic design of this cabin, which brought us in harmony with nature. We had several bear sightings, and human-admirers during our stay: one bear came onto the property while we were outside. However, none of the four-legged or two-legged visitors interrupted our vacation. The rode to the cabin can be challenging for non-locals or unfamiliar mountain drivers the first few times traveling to/from the cabin. Nevertheless, the cabin in conveniently located in close proximity and easy access to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and The Chimneys. If you stay at this cabin, we recommend renting UTV's and take a 2-hour ride up to the cabin and around the mountains -it was very exhilarating! We highly recommend The Castle in the Clouds for all visitors who want to experience a fairytale vacation over the boastful, picture-perfect clouds of The Great Smoky Mountains.

First, let me say that I would definitely stay at this cabin again. The cabin was beautiful, spacious, and allowed us to vacation "away" from people during this pandemic. It was a welcome refreshment.

Check-in was a little disappointing. We used the Express Check In option. The day before check-in, I received an email with the address for the cabin and basic information about the cabin. The email contained a place for the door entry code, but that place was blank. Upon receiving the email, I called the Cabins USA office about this and was told that I would receive another email on check-in day with the door code. I never did. When check-in time arrived, we arrived at the cabin, but we still didn't have the door code. I tried calling the Cabins USA office multiple times, left a couple messages in the office's voicemail, and even tried the chat feature on the website a few times to get the door code. No one called me back or responded. At 6:30 p.m. (2 1/2 hours after check-in time), I called again and finally reached someone in the office, who gave me the door code. The lady in the office was very nice and took care of me right away once I finally got someone on the phone. But I was frustrated that it took so long to connect with someone in order to get the door code, when that should have been included in my Express Check-In email the night before (to avoid exactly this kind of situation).

The cabin itself was great. The views are incredible! The cabin is mostly secluded, but there are a couple cabins near enough that you don't feel completely isolated in the mountain. Even with these other cabins nearby, the deck area is very private and the view is unobstructed.

We did have a few issues with the cabin. When we did our first walk-through to see the house, I discovered that the dryer door handle had been ripped off of the dryer by one of the prior guests, making the dryer unusable to us because there was no way to open the door. I put in a maintenance request, but maintenance didn't arrive until very late in the evening on Wednesday and was unable to fix it because he needed to special order the part. However, he showed us how to work around the missing dryer handle, which allowed us to use the dryer the last night at the cabin. Not being able to use the dryer was inconvenient, but it didn't ruin our trip, and we made the best of it.

Also, when we initially entered the house, I discovered a dead baby mouse in the downstairs bathroom, by the door leading out to the pool. After getting rid of that and cleaning the floor in that bathroom, we continued to notice a smell. I investigated and discovered two more dead mice (one baby and one adult) on the floor underneath the couch in the downstairs theater room. We removed these as well and thoroughly cleaned the area where they were. We also made sure there weren't any others in or near the couch (which there weren't). Being that we were up in the woods, I wasn't overly concerned about this, as I know "critters happen" in the woods. Once we located and removed the dead mice and cleaned the area, we didn't have any further problems with critters (or smell). But it was an eventful first day in the cabin for sure!

The rest of the trip went very smoothly, and we thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. A few recommendations and tips I would give to the owners/Cabin USA and also to other guests:

1. Put the wifi password in a binder or on some sort of paper that stays inside the cabin. One of the first things kids go for is the wifi password, which was not included in the check-in information I received. You could also include in a binder/folder inside the cabin information on where the trash goes outside, how to operate the TV systems/cable, and how to operate the other systems (i.e., the fire pit, grill, pool, even the oven (which was a bit different from typical ovens), the 3 different A/C units, etc.). This would have been helpful, rather than us trying to figure things out ourselves.

2. While the kitchen is stocked with plenty of utensils, dishes and cups, the number and size of cooking pans is minimal. When cooking for a large group, this poses difficulty. More pans would have been helpful. Also, there are no pot holders! How do you cook in the oven without pot holders???? Definitely need to add those to the kitchen. We used some of the bathroom hand towels because that was the best we had, but that is not a very good option.

3. The fire pit was not hooked up to the gas line and couldn't be used. The unconnected metal gas line pole sticks out of the floor decking and is really both a tripping hazard and also a fire hazard in that guests themselves may try to connect the fire pit to the gas line (we entertained that idea, but decided it was better not to try). The fire pit was one of the perks for this cabin, and it was disappointing not to be able to use it during our stay.

4. This cabin is at the very top of a VERY steep hill. Not kidding. Going up the hill each day definitely put a strain on my minivan, and I had to ride the brakes the entire way down. And it's not at all a straight or easy road. There are curves every so many feet and many times, it felt like the road was ending and we were going to drive off a cliff or dead-end to nowhere. We tried not to go up or down the hill while it was raining because we were worried about the roads being slick. So be prepared for this.

5. Each of the bathroom showers could use little wooden benches or something for placement of toiletries and things. There was nowhere to place these while showering, and so we had to just put everything on the floor in the showers. Also, there really needs to be additional towels in the bathrooms (and the kitchen). We struggled with towels, and we didn't even have the maximum capacity of people staying in the cabin.

6. There is no DVD or Blueray player in the theater room. So, the only movies you could watch were movies that were playing on Spectrum cable or on a streaming service that you subscribe to. This was a big disappointment, as we brought DVD movies with us to watch in the theater room and were unable to do so. We ended up not really even using the theater room because of this, even though the TV down there was gigantic and the best one in the house!

Don't get me wrong- this cabin was great, and I would definitely stay here again. The recommendations above are just small ways that this cabin could be even better (and more comfortable) than it already is.

Honestly the most beautiful place I have ever stayed at,and I have been to Pigeon Forge /Gatlinburg with this stay my 3rd time and this Castle exceeded all of my expectations.I didn’t even want to leave.Sitting outside with a cup of coffee overlooking the mountains and watching the sunrise was everything it was so peaceful.Spacious for the whole family the pool was also a plus especially for my kid’s they loved it.Walk-in shower in my bathroom was amazing.I can go on and on it was truly amazing and breathtaking.If I ever come back I would definitely stay there again.I have 0 complaints from beginning to end.

Our family had a wonderful holiday week at the cabin. Customer service and maintenance are extremely attentive and responsive. We were very impressed with their service. The view was breathtaking, words cannot do it justice. I would recommend getting to the cabin before dark when you first check in, once you know where you are going it is a fun drive up. The only suggestion I would have is to add an outside light by the hot tub, it wasn’t an issue, but might be helpful.

LOVED the view from Castle in the clouds! It was so peaceful and relaxing sitting on the deck looking over at the amazing view! We only had a couple issues with the cabin and staff took care of them right away. Past guests have had to had pets in the cabin and you could really smell it in the basement and upstairs bedroom. Staff came out and sprayed when we contacted them. This isn't something they can control however I think the furniture and carpets need steamed and that would solve the problem. Cabins all around the castle however your decks face away from each other so you feel all alone yet secure knowing you have neighbors. You can tell money was spent when this cabin was first purchased with the lighting and furniture. My family had a great time and really enjoyed your Castle in the clouds!

If your looking for Luxury & A Great View overlooking the mountains this is your cabin! We were very happy with this cabin & loved everything about it. I definitely recommend to travel to the cabin in daylight hours. The roads can be tricky at night. But, the cabin is less than 3 miles from Gatlinburg & less than 5 miles from Pigeon Forge so the location is perfect. I don't have kids, but if you do keep in mind there is a Big Game Room with a 70"inch TV but no Pool table. There were games in cabin. If I could give the owners a recommendation it would be to add more games in that huge downstairs game room area for adults & kids. We did see one Bear & her cub across the road headed into woods. It was around 10pm. Also, the jacuzzi was extra large. Book this! You won't be disappointed... Timberley Z.

This was the best cabin, we have ever have. i wouldnt change a thing. the view was amazing and so was the castle. when we come back we will go there again.

A Castle in the Clouds was a great place to stay. Its about 10 minutes from the parkway (slightly steep roads but you get used to it) and was really conveniently located. Everything on the inside was clean and great. We saw a couple of bears during our stay also. The only thing I would change would be to have the jacuzzi in a screened in area and add a pool table/game room, but I knew about this beforehand. The theater room was great, the kitchen was spacious, the spiral staircase was lovely, and the view was absolutely gorgeous. You won't be disappointed.

We have stayed twice at A castle in the clouds. Love the house and amenities were above what you would expect. When we stay feel like at home.. That's why we chose to get married there instead of Los Vegas July 16th. We have stayed with cabins USA many times they have always taken great care of us. Gave a reference to friend that they need to use them. Cabins USA and owners of A castle in the clouds thank you for for taking great care of us. July 2016.

Castle n the Clouds was just lovely! It did not have the medieval feel I was expecting, but no matter, it met our expectations all around! Would not recommend to folks with small children as the spiral staircase leading to the basement is a bit difficult to navigate. I would definitely stay here again.

My stay was enjoyable my family enjoyed it as well. The only thing I had a problem with was the bathroom sink water didn't work well. the bathroom were the 2 sets of bunkbeds were, and the main bathroom sink on the main level, water pressure was very SlowðŸ'Ž.. Overall the Cabin was Great!

Loved A Castle in the Clouds!!! Best place I've ever stayed at in the mountains and the view from the deck was absolutely gorgeous! Some places you see in pictures don't look that way when you get there but you just have to see this place in person. Didn't want to leave😭

We loved our stay at the "Castle in the Clouds". The only reason I put a 9 on cleanliness is because the downstairs smelled like dog urine fairly strongly. Not sure if the renters before us had pets, but other than that, it was great. I was expecting more from the "game room", but it was really just the theater room with an Xbox in it. We loved the outdoor fire pit and the kids loved the hot tub. Beautiful views and the beds were comfortable. Tv's in all bedrooms and a fair amount of provided cookware and utensils in the kitchen. Would stay here again and would recommend to others!

The only reason I put a 9 for amenities is because we wish there would have been a pool table.... But everything else was perfect! We loved the fire pit, it along with the cabin was gorgeous and the view was amazing! We will be returning again. Thanks for a great vacation cabins USA!!!

I was pleased that upon our arrival a staff member was at the house to see if everything was to our satisfaction. Spa was filthy, but was drained, scrubbed, and filled by the staff member. Stairwell and bathrooms weren't cleaned up the greatest. Also, grill propane tank was empty. The view is amazing, and we loved the outdoor seating areas - deck and fire pit area. This is a place that I would stay again.

The "castle" was very modern and clean. The only drawback was not a lot of pans for cooking ( I recommend you bring the disposable foil pans) or spices. The other cabins that we have stayed in, past renters would leave behind salt/pepper shakers, etc. However, that won't deter you from having a great time.
We had an issue with the ice maker on day 3 and called maintenance. They were quick to respond and informed us it was a manufacturer issue that they could not fix. No big deal as we had already purchased ice while in town.
We had a nice view and even saw black bears during our stay. Overall we would return as the kids loved the "castle".

It was a lovely place to stay. The location was perfect & has such a beautiful view. Would love to return here for all of our future vacations in The Smokies!

My stay at the castle in the clouds was wonderful, beautifully decorated, comfortable, great view, I'm definitely going back on my next vacation. Of I had to complain my one one complaint would be there is no pool table....but over all it's the best place I've stayed in a long time

This was my first time visiting Gatlinburg and I must say this chalet was everything & more. We arrived a bit late due to traffic but I called the rental office & they were very polite & understanding. The check-in process was fast & easy. I give this chalet a 10 out of 10, we as a family collectively & individually had no issues throught out our stay. This chalet was beautiful both inside & out. Also the view from the deck was breath taking. I highly recommend this chalet. Me & my family plan on returning next year. I thank CABIN USA & their staff for letting us have a positive experience during our stay. This chalet truly lives up to it's name. It really is A CASTLE IN THE CLOUDS.

We loved the Castle and it was beautifully decorated. Our major complaint would be that there are NO ceiling fans in the bedrooms and it was sooo hot in our rooms especially upstairs. We even turned the air down but it didn't help. Everything else was perfect!

We have rented multiple times from you and Sugar Maple and one other company. This has been our favorite cabin. We did have a couple of issues however. The hot tub was not working and the repairman had to come out. He was great but that hot tub was not on par with this cabin. We also asked for fuel for the fire pit and was promised some and it was never delivered. I think the review online should be clear there is no tub in case you have small children and no pool table etc. that some may assume by the term gameroom. We had a great stay.

The property is amazing ...besides having to wait 3 hours for maintenance to fix front door so we could get in everything else was perfect.

If I could give it more than a 10 I would! Our family LOVED it! We like to venture out, and try a different place to stay every year, but this is one that we could stay in every trip. We started with express check-in which was great. We got to go directly to the chalet instead of having to stop by the office. When we arrived, we were in awe at the beauty of A Castle in the Clouds. We felt like we were royalty. Everything was amazing.
